December 2024 - goodbye Incy

Hello friends

This is the hardest post Ive ever had to make and I hope you all understand
The decision has been made to close Incy Wincy Designs Challenge.

It has been very hard to do, but after looking at everything it was the best decision.

A few of us are going to write a little something to say goodbye - and reflect on our time here.

Over the last 15 or more years I have had the most amazing people be part of the design team, quite a few did a LOT of work behind the scenes which weren't known to our followers and players. Sincerest thanks to all of the Incy Wincy Family - Id like to thank you for all your hard work over the years.

Please do follow our designers on their blogs and designing lives.

The past few years have been very hard, especially the last 18 months - having lost 4 family members in 15 months. The latest being my dear mother, whom I had been caring for, for the last 20 years,

Now another piece of me has to close, so it is bittersweet. As much as I wanted to get into it and make it big like it used to - I just dont have the mental energy to do it. I thought I may get my mojo back be concentrating on Incy, but then Id look at the date and realised Id missed a whole month again, and what I wanted to do wasn't happening.

Hopefully I will make me way back into crafting seriously again, one day.

Thank you, all for staying with us and supporting the Incy Wincy Challenge Blog. I am forever grateful to Incy for they gave me my first break in the Design Team world back in 2016. I have grown as a designer and a blogger since I started and I owe most of that to being in the DT of Incy. Thank you Hev and the rest of the team, Karen, Suze, Helen and to the past DT members for the experience. It was a pleasure working with you. NOVEMBER 2024 ANYTHING GOES (with an optional twist)

Wahoo! Did you guess the surprise we mentioned last month?
From now on we will be Anything Goes, and add an optional twist.
For the month of November, the additional twist is create a Christmas Card with a handmade background
We will have badges for prizes
Life is getting busier and busier here, and some of our creative minds have gone from digital images. Not saying we don't still love them, but may want to show our creativity in different ways. Or mix different elements together.
We have always encouraged our players to use any creative outlet (painting, sculpture, polymer clay etc) but I think because we had digital artists as our sponsors we all thought we had to stick to that avenue. It has never been that way but that what the rage was :)
Incy Wincy has been around since 2008/2009 so we were due for a change I think!!

October 2024 Autumn/More Than One Fold closes 25th

Our Theme author for the month is

Hello, Incy Wincy friends! Thank you for your continued support to our group. We are striving but we are a strong crafting group. There are lots of options with our theme for this month. Please don't forget to mention in your post which theme you chose and why. We appreciate any interaction from you, guys!

Aside from the sketch, I chose song as an additional theme to my card. There are several songs entitled 'Because of You' that I like. One by Keith Martin, another by Kelly Clarkson, and also by Ne-Yo. Different song genres but I like it all.
