Introducing...your NEW Design Team!!!!!

First off, I would like to thank EVERYONE who applied to our Design Team! It was a really hard decision and took us longer than we thought!!!! All of the entrants were so good!!!!

Staying on with us this term are:

Hi there! Most of you know me by now, but for those that don't, I am Chris. I am the Design Team leader for Incy Wincy Designs and it has been a really fun year (almost!) I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years, and making cards for about 6 now! I am happily married with 3 Fur Children - a neurotic diabetic cat named Tux, a insane dog, but such a love, named Brick and a new puppy named Minty! We also have 6 leopard geckos and 2 fish! It is always an adventure around here, that is for sure! When I'm not in my craft room, you can find me outdoors - camping, hiking, exploring with the dogs, or reading! My favourite place to plunk myself in the summer is on my swing on my front deck!!!! I am a teacher & I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada! EH!!!

Heather

My name is Heather and I am from South Australia. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember, when other girls were playing with their dolls I had my case with scissors, paper and crayons. Mum still has the first card I made her - when I was 5. I started Incy Wincy Designs as a way to get word out about our charity and also meet new people - which I have definitely done :) I dabble in all sorts of crafts and try a bit of everything, but always have 100's of unfinished projects... oops Thank you all for supporting us and in turn helping Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities (was named Incy Wincy Children's Charities) which is the charity Greg, Tami and Myself started.
Have a fabulous day :)

Hi Y'ALL!! Let's See I love all things artsy, I play around with alot of variety of mediums from glass to paper to computer graphix. I started out by making cards for Xmas really simple ones too, a sticker in the center of a card. Then I got bitten by the bug, and found blogs and have learned so much and love doing this. I even started to create my own digi's "Limited Runs Digi's" and have a lot of fun making them, they keep me using my graphix proggies and so does Chris, as I help out with some of the graphix for Incy Wincy from time to time. The team has been wonderful to work with and I'm happy to be staying on too. I'm also from Canada too but from Toronto and been with my man for 18 years and we have one kitty that loves to sleep where ever I am working, last time I made a painting he had a lovely blue tail lol.

I am happily married and have 4 wonderful kids (3 boys and a girl) who all keep me very busy! I work for the NHS (National Health Service) leading on Vocational Qualifications and Training. Funny how I started card making really as it was on a camping trip a couple of years ago, I had always enjoyed calligraphy and anything arty but had never had a crafting hobby as such. We were camping in the Lake District and being England it chucked it down all week, while the kids were happy getting covered in mud I was getting bored. We went out shopping I ended up in a crafting shop where I bought some ready made toppers, a box of card stock and some glue; back at the tent I started on my first cards – they weren’t great but they were OK and most of all I enjoyed it! I must say my style, techniques and confidence has grown since then (along with my stash) and there is no way I could fit it all in the car now to take it on a camping trip LOL.

Shelley

I'm Shelley wife and mother of 3 lovely boys. I started card making just over 3 years ago and I soon got addicted. The area I live in only have one craft shop so I found it hard to find what i wanted which is why I opened my online web store One Stop Card Crafts. I run the store with my family and working from home is great and saves on child care. I love all aspects of card making and enjoy trying new techniques. My favourite at the moment is Digital stamping, fancy folded cards and creating boxes. I also love a challenge which is why I am chuffed to bits to be on the Incy Wincy design team and can't wait to get started.

AND now....without further ado...... here are the newest members of our team: Please give them a WARM welcome!!!

Hi, I'm 34, English but live in Sydney with my husband and two gorgeous daughters aged 3 months and 3 and a half years. I have always been interested in crafts and have had a go at many, including cross stitch and jewellery making. I became obsessed with making cards after my first daughter was born when I made thank you cards for my family and friends. I am looking forward to seeing everyone's makes on the weekly themes.

Linda

I love all kinds of crafts, scrapbooks, card making, mini-books and now and again I dabble in altered art. I got into card making 3 years ago and mostly love to stamp. I use digital, rubber or acrylic and use a variety of mediums to colour with from the well know pens to watercolours and chalks, now it’s an obsession with me and craft every single day if possible.

Carla Prediger Träsel - 48 years old- married and have a son who is 22 yo.
I have beem crafting since I was 5th when my mom thaught me how to embroider. I also lerned knitting, crochetting... Years later, I felt in love with paper crafts. My first passion was the parchment craft. Then I learned quilling, dry embossing, paper cutting, tea-bag-folding, paper embroidery, carré, scrapbooking and many other techniques. Recently I learned the beauty of stamping... so many ways to create wonderful cards. I have been trying to spend more time on this technique by using real or digital stamps. It is something really pleasant. Being a papercraft designer is not only a hobby. It became also my job. I have my own studio where I teach and spend long time creating. I'm sure I will enjoy being part of this DT. For sure I'm not only going to share my work as I know that we always have something new to learn.

Jenny

I'm Jenny aka Dragonllew as I'm known in the blogging world. I am married to Mark and have 3 children, I work part time in a Shop doing wages and other admin work and spend all of my spare time and money crafting. I love all sorts of crafts and have tried many different things over the years I have been making cards for about 2 years now I love taking a few pieces of paper and turning them into something that people will enjoy looking at.

Renee

I'm a stay-at-home-mom and I started scrapping 2 yrs ago. I was doing alot of crocheting, but had to quit doing that because of the arthritis in my hands. Both of these things were my daughters, that I learned and tried to teach her, but she gave up because she didn't have the patience to learn how to do it. I've been doing some sort of crafting for 15 yrs, from painting on clothes, to wood working, to crocheting, and scrapping.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know our newest, and very talented Design Team! Come back on Monday to see their work!!!! We have some GREAT challenges and GREAT sponsors lined up for you so it is going to be an AWESOME term!!!!!!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!!!
